Good Ol' Girls is a professional networking organization for women across diverse industries in the Bay Area. The organization achieved 501(C)(3) status in 2011, and from 2012-2014 I served on the Board of Directors as Director of Online Strategies.
At the time, the organization was struggling with growing pains. I redesigned the website to reflect a recent rebranding—there was once a lot of pink and high heels imagery going on—and established best practices for publicizing events, recruiting new members, and solidifying relationships with existing members. Most of these tasks involved determining a clear call of action and putting that message front and center.
I'm proud of my contributions in this volunteer position, and I'm still a card-carrying member of this organization.
